In addition to her background in academic psychology, Charlotte has worked with art and cloth all her life as a professional dyer, weaver, clothing designer, knitter, and quilter. After many years working principally as a weaver and quilter she fell in love with digital art possibilities and presently concentrates on creating digital imagery printed on cloth and assembled into mixed media quilt art.
When not working in the digital darkroom or in her sunny quilting studio, she can be found painting, collaging, reading, knitting, or listening to opera, or hiking in the mountains with her camera. Her experience living where the plains meet the Rocky Mountains exerts a strong influence on her work. She was born in Chicago and raised in the Midwest. She has lived with her husband, Ken, in Boulder, Colorado for more than thirty-five years.
Charlotte is a member of Studio Art Quilt Associates,
